The problem

Healthcare products carry a lot at once — multiple user types, sensitive flows, scheduling, payments, live and async interaction. The challenge was to make a broad platform feel calm, trustworthy and simple to move through, for a doctor, a coach and a patient alike.

Overview

One platform, three kinds of people

Beyondr brings telemedicine and wellness together: video consultations, live sessions, chat, community and bookings. It serves three roles — doctors, coaches and patients — each with their own onboarding, dashboard and flows.

I designed the whole product, web and mobile — a calm, trustworthy system that holds a lot of functionality without feeling heavy. It's the most extensive of my earlier projects.

The web platform

The full desktop product — onboarding, dashboards, consultations, sessions and more. Hover to preview, click to view a page.

In closing

What changed

  • A broad telemedicine + wellness platform designed end to end for web and mobile.
  • Role-based experiences for doctors, coaches and patients, held together by one consistent system.
  • The full surface area covered — onboarding, dashboards, consultations, live sessions, chat and bookings.

What's still open

  • An earlier project — shown here as mockups of the design work.

What I learned

The craft in a big platform is restraint: with this much functionality and this many user types, the win is making it feel simple and calm, not cramming everything onto every screen.
